I went for the stubby M12 deal and hackable 5.0HO batteries we've been seeing. I know everyone's excited about the Gen 2, but I think the mode selector would annoy me and i have the M18 high-torque if I need all the torques.

I got the flex 1/2 in for driving in anchor bolts while framing. It’s a beast but now I need to get the sds to match, I’m waiting on holidays for that and I really like a d-handle sds.

!st, love the content, keep it coming. 2nd, the Surge Impact driver is quieter and smooth, BUT, it doesn't have the power that some expect it to have. I struggled putting in lags with it. With pre drilled holes.

However, it does the job as power ratchet, if you will. That's what I used it for. Less power, less chance of rounding or breaking bolts lol.

So love your channel, but I do want to point out what I consider to be a few inaccuracies. Like you I bleed all colors, but you keep calling the old flex impact weak, it’s not weak at all, its just weaker compared to the gen 2 and the Milwaukee. You said the flex is less powerful than the Milwaukee? It’s not, the torque test channel video proved in reverse they’re basically the same. I don’t know anyone who really cares about the difference in tightening, and then factor in the cost of a forge battery, where basically flex every few months gives you stacked lithium for free. We both agree that 299, and a battery for the Milwaukee, isn’t even close to 249 6 ah SL Battery and a fast charger is a better deal.

You need to have the direction selector in the neutral position to change modes on the new stubby.. so while it’s in either direction you can double pump all you want I don’t see it as an issue.

Last year's holiday Makita deal was buy one tool get a free starter kit with two 5.0ah batteries priced at $199. This years deal looks like doodoo. The leaks from Milwaukee and DeWalt look much more similar to last year. Makita keeps pricing themselves out of the market.

I am a BIG fan of yours & understand that you want to make money (and it is your right to do so however you see fit), but just want to make sure you realize the possibility that by limiting the effectiveness (to the VIEWER) of your content by delaying release of your videos / deals / glitches to the general public, you actually make your videos (and even subscribing to you at all) far less valuable, meaningful & desirable to some of the general Youtube public. You are always concerned about your algorithm and viewers doing things to help it and you out (& I get that) but not sure if you have considered that, by creating a default "second class citizen" (so to speak) out of the majority of potential viewers and constantly reminding them that the video they are watching is not as good or fresh as it can be (unless they pay the Patreon "toll"), many may be even LESS motivated to want to watch, subscribe or even help you at all. Again, I am genuinely a fan of yours and want you to be successful, but just think you should at least consider the above (in case you had not already).
