For anyone who does this, FYI youre not completely screwed
Most modern controllers (especially Xbox) are already ready to be used on your PC, just plug them in using the provided USB cable. typing will suck and using a joystick as a mouse is weird but every AAA title implements controller support off the box. TVs have speakers and video built in and Most HDMI cables (make sure to plug them into the GPU not the motherboard) Send audio through too. Tvs are not buit for the high refresh rate your PC outputs, but you will have a similar experience to your Playstation or Xbox anyway

You could get a decent 1080p monitor for like $100 and it would usually be 120hz to 144hz.

I never understood how people mess this up. Consoles need peripherals just as much as PCs. Controllers come with a console sure but my prebuilt PC came with mouse and keyboard personally. They both require display and neither "requires" headphones. Then again, people dont understand that tou need to change the oil in your car so fair enough.

You can buy a decent pair of headphones for 30 bucks, a good enough monitor for 200, and a mouse/keyboard combo for another 20 bucks. The video really exaggerates how much money you need to start pc gaming.

If you just wanna game casually. Use the controllers from the console, connect it to the tv that you had with the console.

Tbh you can get what feels like top of the line monitor if you're new to pc gaming, for around $250 ±50. Talking about 27 inches, 2k resolution, 165hz with great colors and brightness. Xiaomi has a display like that and so does LG now and most likely other brands too.

Ofc he shows the 4k oled... Why not the 165hz 1080p ips with built in speakers wich cost 110$ and the keyboard for 20 and mouse for 20 for a total of 150$...

A console gamer should already have some sort of display along with speakers or headphones & not only do most AAA games work with console controllers on PC, but passable keyboards & mice can come pretty cheap & last for years.

Heck I used a cheap logitech laser mouse as my only mouse for over a decade until one of the mouse buttons stopped working right at which point I bought a new way better mouse for less than $20

I use a 2004 TV that is 720p, and has a refresh rate of 40Hz, life couldn't be less smooth
