giggling at the Paul Mescal shorts chat as those type of shorts are worn for popular Irish sports like hurling and gaelic football, so theyre super commonplace in Ireland. its kinda insane how Paul was being like every other irish lad, living and breathing in a GAA uniform, and accidently started a movement.

Every time you upload I imagine pouring us a pot of tea, sitting on tuffets in a sunroom somewhere and pretending we are Victorian era women chatting about the latest state of affairs. Every video of yours is a treat!

My favorite part of going to the airport is people watching, it’s so fun to see how people combine comfort and personal style to spend the whole day traveling

In regards to clothing overconsumption when traveling: I love using and reusing clothes when i travel. I have dresses i used and reused in different parts of the world, that i feature multiple times on my ig. Why not? I look good in it, its good quality, and who cares (nothing worse than an outfit rememberer in the words of Lizzie McGuire).

We got used to disposable clothing, when in the past clothing was a time capsule. It was an event to look at my mom’s closet. She would share stories of her clothing, places she had been with them, and pass it along to me (many that i still own). It was no heirloom, not anything fancy, yet still a legacy.

I wrote a paper last semester on the dangers of overconsumption, and I have always tried to not fall victim to it. The aestheticized "underconsumption-core" kind of bothers me because I think that is what everyone should be doing in the first place, but at least people are starting to become more environmentally friendly this way. I think people are finally waking up to how over-saturated and over-simulating every aspect of our lives has become due to overconsumption.

Paul Mescal's GAA shorts have been a part of men's fashion in Ireland for so long. It's interesting to see a basic staple become inspiration for Gucci!

there’s some great fashion history behind Paul’s tiny O’Neils GAA shorts !!! traditionally worn while playing gaelic sports in ireland (which Paul was a big part of in his local town), they have been a staple fashion item for even the most basic irish man for decades, A symbol of ideal Irish male masculinity

Paul Mescal’s short shorts are truly A-list discourse. Even Daisy Edgar Jones admitted it.

As a flight attendant, I always say to do and bring whatever you are comfortable with. But with that said, my favorite flying outfit when I’m flying leisurely is a t shirt maxi dress I got from Amazon. It’s comfy and stretchy and it comes in different colors or patterns. And it has pockets. It’s casual enough for comfort but also dressy. I usually pair it with a closed toe flat and a cardigan for when I’m chilly. It’s perfect for the flight but still dressy where I get compliments for it.

My travel hack is to bring 1 dress or skirt and 1 pair of pants I can dress up or down no matter where I go. That way, I can go to that unplanned fancy event that just popped up. Don't forget the causal yet fancy flat shoes

I'm not suprised that Korea would become more fashionable at the airport. Anyone who's had the privilege of flying into the Incheon airport could tell you it's the best airport anywhere. I've spent days worth of layovers in that airport. I love the cleanliness, order, the cultural center where you can make crafts, the cultural parade that they do every couple of hours in full ceremonial garb. The clean play centers for littles and the perfectly organized gate system. Local flights on ground level, international flights on 2nd floor, 2 circles of terminals, with walking sidewalks crossing between for easy access with a train between the two circles.

Keyboard warrior here to highly recommend compression socks for travel!!

I've been using compression socks since my early 20s (threw some pesky pulmonary emboli at the time... so it was initially doctor's orders). My legs ache so much less after sitting for long periods of time when I'm wearing them.

I’m gonna try to come back to this video later, but I just wanna drop that ANYTIME my grandpa and grandma used to fly when they were a younger couple they ALWAYS dressed up. Like, suit and tie and matching dress, shoes, hat. It’s really changed.
