Another disappointing day but thank you for all you do and your passion about this. Stay hyped!

Perhaps prioritizing the new deep sea platforms is the fastest path to rapid prototyping. It achieves the benefits of being in unregulated International waters, much higher public safety, and accelerating the goal of having a full use platform to launch from.

So the FAA first gives the okay to SpaceX and every day changes its mind and blocks the launch? Congratulations FAA, you are very organized and professional..

When someone breaks a well established rule it's always the same; government don't like to change their habits. But eventually the bend to progress. Good job Felix, I like your work.

Musk should bring back his space capsule from the ISS without the astronauts - The FAA will find a way home for them.

If the FAA had been around in 1903, the Wright Brothers would still be waiting for permission to fly !!

I know they put a lot of effort into Boca Chica but if I were Elon Musk I would buy an island in the Atlantic and a few oil rigs and do all my development and testing under my own jurisdiction. Every little country informs the community and aviators about their airspace intentions. In America government agencies dictate what they like and not. If there are safety concerns for the pu8blic, why don't they tell us the public who funds these agencies what the concerns are? I would move out of US. It's turning into a fascist heaven anyway.

I'll bet Australia or New Zealand are starting to look pretty good to Mr. Musk right now!

This is way more of a problem than a matter of regulations. That's just the cover story. Anytime the FAA has said and done this in my past it meant the company was in trouble. The FAA can be a bully, remember Bob Hoover? I hate it when those who can become the target of the less than mediocre.

FELIX: If you think about it: The first three hops worked impressively. The fourth hop worked 90%, but the ending was alarming to the FAA who was expecting a perfect flight. Now they feel as if they need to be a little more involved and to understand exactly what each phase is doing. At this point they are not getting the answers from Spacex to help their confidence any. They are not much for "all up" tests. They like the old school way of seeing a whole string of tests to prove to them it will all work. (Which Spacex is not famous for)

Gosh they really need to fix the FAA...
But they are pretty much committed to staying there by now

Dear Mr. Musk, please excuse my threatening (scary) outburst. I'm OK now, but when I settled down, I found myself in the FAA parking lot in Huntsville Alabama, should I let the air out of just a few tires before I leave?

Faa should pick up the tab for all the money that was wasted in the past 2 days

It is all about safety of persons and property. SN8 flight seemed perfect until landing but FAA needs to examine exactly what led to the mishap. Did the header tank fail at apogee or at landing. How far did the debris footprint extend. Should they have used the flight termination system at apogee? Don’t blame them for safety first.

Got to hand it to Elon. He goes forward on all things as he believes should be then waits for antiquated laws to change. Cyber mirrors fsd and now Texas hold em.
