1 Chronicles 4:9-10 | Bring Me Pain

"Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested."

I discovered this fantastic story and prayer this week. When Jabez prayed that his territory be increased, I can not help but think he was also referring to territory in his heart, where the Devil had established some ground -- "You caused pain for your mother; surely you will continue to fail and cause pain for others." I also have these Devil footholds within me, based on small truths outside my control ("you caused pain for your mother"), but leading to the Devil's lie ("you will continue to cause pain"). With God's help Jabez grabbed that territory in his heart back and let God heal him and protect him from the Devil's lies. Then, he was successful.

I bind to hell for myself, my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ to cause anyone pain/damage and binding one to respect and stay within one's own personal space, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with those not respecting and staying in one's own personal space and causing another one pain or damage, in accordance with this word and 1 chronicles 4:9-10, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
