After the Jezinky release, I received a lot of reactions and comments from my new listeners and old listeners, who connected with me throught the music. I was made aware of how strong a message I was sending out there with Jezinky and quietly hoped that it would get across to all those to whom it suppose to reach 🙏🏼 But how could I even expect such an amazing reaction I received often with a strong personal stories? I confess that they often made me cry and my emotion was filled with humility, belonging and solidarity.
It shook me up and inspired me so much that I composed TASTE in mid-March!
I wrote the lyrics of the song by paraphrasing and quoting a few randomly selected comments that you wrote to me in the form of messages under my YouTube videos (I’m curious if you can find yours ;)) I thought it was a great idea to creatively engage your feelings and reactions into my song and close a symbolic circle.
TASTE! is a manifesto and a tribute to all my listeners, supporters and especially the entire Drag community, who have always been very supportive of me and are one of my great inspirations! 🙏🏼🦇🫶🏽
