Love the DS/3DS, the range of variety in the games is incredible. People need to look beyond the shovelware and gimmicks

As a kid, I didn’t get the chance to play DS games—I only had a PS2, SNES, and a GameBoy Color. It wasn’t until I was around 14 or 15 that I got my first smartphone, and that’s when I started downloading emulators for PSP, Sega, and DS. It was my first real experience with those games, and I ended up playing a lot.

I've played Ni no kuni twice and had no idea there was a turn based DS version, my mind is blown

Dragon Ball Z Kai, on my opinion, has got to be one of the most graphically impressive DS games I’ve ever seen. I don’t know what black magic the developers used to create such breathtaking visuals on limited hardware, but it is such a shame that it never got a release in the west.

I sold all my ds and most of my 3ds stuff and now I’m all nostalgic feeling for it back. I think I’ll mod my 3ds. They really were the best handhelds

Tony Hawk look so good on this one, it has perfect camera to capture all your moves and actions. For handheld standard like DS this is absolutely impressive!

One game that is graphically impressive is the Spectrobes series. It’s a Pokémon clone but in a sci-fi setting traveling through space. Especially when emulated on drastic and turn 3D rendering the game looks fantistic. Definitely recommend!

Glad that you run these games on native resolution! this way you can really appreciate how the ds renders them.

Episode 3 and we still have not talked about Nanashi no Game 1 & 2 nor have we talked about " Flower, Sun, and Rain: Murder and Mystery in Paradise " by Suda51. Also I think Last Window and TrackMania Turbo deserve a shout out . :)

i dont have a way of confirming this but i did do some playtesting for the ni no kuni english translation ROM a decade ago. Its my only contribution to gaming and it was very minimal but i was happy to be doing it

I feel like it's a bit of a crime to mention Revenge of the Fallen and not the 2007 movie game for Transformers. It had an open world with a bunch of different vehicle forms you could scan and transform into, and in the Decepticons version you got to experience a story that was better than the movie it was based on. With voice talent from freaking Keith David as Barricade and Frank Welker as Megatron, you were in for a real treat!

I remember someone posting screens of PSO Zero emulated at higher resolution and it looked like a Dreamcast title. I hope we get DS games with Switch 2's NSO.
