Certainly a classic, a couple years ago I built a set of them bar stool height for our kitchen island and they have worked out fine. (if you build this height, you'll need a bar type foot rail or your feet will dangle <grin>) Since then, after building a couple of Sam Maloof style low back chairs....I find the low back chair much more comfortable....though a much more complicated build. If you are researching a project....do the hard one, it's a lot of fun. -Veteran '66-68
