Glad to find this on YouTube - I had this 30 years ago and Black gets it all just so right, along with fine playing from the LSO and great Decca recording.

The Mazurka is an infectious foot-tapper, as indeed it should be, while the gentle sweetness of The Romance is truly Romantic. The Galup is excitingly neck-breaking and rounds off a brilliant performance of Aram Khachaturian's exciting and racy music

This waltz introduced me to the exquisite grace of Mao Asada.

This is far better than the Japanese version. The Waltz has that lustiness one hopes for while The Nocturne is so atmospheric
