Composer deserves appreciation for mixing tracks that are actually very different... Incredible fusion...!!!

Nagesh kukoonoor is one of those rare intellectual film directors that almost don't exist in India anymore. Would love to see him keep producing such great little films for the sake of it.

I had watched this movie before and this time, I was making my family watch it. This song started and my parents were jamming. My Dad is very spiritual and loves spiritual songs, especially the original version of Dum-a-dum Mast Kalandar, and the moment the kid started singing "Chaar charag..." my Dad got so excited that he screamed out of joy! He couldn't stop his tears during the entire song, and by the end of it, he thanked me with ever-flowing tears! It was a spectacle to watch him so happy and touched by this song!
At the end of the movie, he said, "This song should be played at the Nobel Peace Prizes. It has the power to stops wars and sprout love from every heart!" I must say, he isn't wrong!
This song is so brilliant and amusing! Nagesh Kukunoor Sir, you're a genius! Devu Khan Manganiyar and Chet Dixon, hats off for creating this amazing masterpiece!!💘💘💘

Love this mashup/fusion!

Also, very pleased at Chet Dixon's performance. Hindi cinema doesn't always get it right with their American characters/take on culture (e.g., Aussies with bad accents; gestures, slang, fashion that's Brit or Aussie). Mr. Dixon portrays the quintessential wanna-be hippie who missed the 60's. We definitely have that sub-culture here in the states. When he answered that he was from "California, " I about fell off my chair laughing. Maybe only Americans would get that humorous stereo-type, but it was awesome. 💜 Cali, whatever the sub-culture.

Cher's a friend of mine, but I can't fault any of the love being directed at that boy instead. Awesome combo.
