I am a devout Christian and a former soldier. Honestly, this makes me feel like a soldier again going on a deployment. I think it's cool someone celebrating their ancestry.

My ancesters were swedish vikings. My grandfather gave me a book about our ancesters when I got 18 years old.
I don't know how it could happen but my whole family always want to visit warm or hot countries and we always had trouble cause I was the only one who want to travel to the north...
My grandfather instructed a geneagolist to find out our roots and the family bloodline.
He paid a bombshell of money but he knew I was obsessed with it...
After a long time of invastigating he added all parts he found and it was unbelievable...
He and his coworkers found out that my ancesters lived in Sweden close to Upsalla around 870 a.d.
The family at that time was big with 7 children.
They were farmers but around 150 years later they were landlords of a big area...
At about 1200 a.d. some lived in Greatbrittain and some in France and Belgium.
But the core of the family lived in Sweden.
Around 1600 a.d. many moved to Denmark and in the 1800 a.d. about the half of them moved to Germany.
At that time our last name was Bengsson and later in Germany it turned to Bengsch.

After I received the book from my grandfather I started travelling to Scandinavia...
My first time in Sweden was crazy cause I felt the first time in my life that I was home and I felt my roots...
I was there uncountable times and of course I visited all scandinavian countries.
But Sweden is were I belong to...
We bought a house there many years ago and we are there as often as possible...
Now I am almost 60 years old and I told all my children and grandchilds our history and we are all very proud of it ✊✊✊
When we arrive in Sweden every time it feels like my blood rushes faster and I feel happy and free...
Sweden will always be my home country - not Germany...
I am a metal head and I love viking music very very much...
I was the favourite grandchild of my grandfather and when I was young he often called me his shield maid but I never knew what it ment...
Later he told me that I was completly different and he was proud of me cause I always fighted for my rights and my freedom...
And damned - yes, I am so proud to have viking roots and viking blood in my veins and nobody ever brought me down ✊✊✊🔥🧝🌀🗻🏹🧬🪓🛡️🗡️🇧🇻🇩🇪🇫🇮🇸🇪
