2018 Honda Civic Type R Review

One of the most hardcore hot hatches out there is reborn. Is it just a one-trick track pony or can you live with it in the real world?

Much has changed with the new model as Honda has gone in search of more performance from a whole new chassis and suspension setup.

In this review, Ciro takes the Type R into the mountains and becomes conflicted about what he does and doesn't like about the front-driven hot hatch.

this car is for people that are not scared to be seen on the road.. Honda got the point..
if you drive it, you love it, and you fall in love forgetting what is looks like..

and for people that prefer a golf r that looks the same from 70's.. how can they speak about design?

I love the back! Think its perfect, its mean and sporty. Love the overall look of the car.

Enjoy the reactions of others when you're in it. Every kid that tries to get their parent to look is a marvellous thing.. You know it's quiet enough that people don't throw themselves on the ground because they think a gun is going off and loud enough that you know what is going on. The looks are great and I know you still want Scalextric. This Scalextric will carry 2.5m lengths of timber, 4 people with 3 of them sleeping and still thrash anything in or near its price on the road or track. Love the looks. They appeal to your inner kid and that kid deserves it.

Anyway, I was trying to comment on every FK8 video on YouTube. It was utter madness but it was fun for a bit :) This might be the last one, so thank you for a nice video and embrace your inner Scalextric.

I would love to own this car but I'd be so embarrassed about people laughing at the exterior. Even if I started to like the design, it wouldn't change the public opinion.

The front looks brillant and the back is the opposite. The performance is perfect and the exhaust is less so. I think it's far from perfect, but it really isn't.

despite the sound of the exhaust I still think they look great I mean c'mon 3 exhaust you don't see that everyday. This is indeed one of the most hardcore hot hatches and I can live with it everyday.

I think here can only have a say in the driving of this car. Grandios in the very sporty mode, The torture at hit-hole-strewn side roads. Nevertheless: Very difficult to top in this price range, for what this type R was made. Thanks Honda
