I have very strange feelings about the Vampire Knight. On the one hand, I just hate the ending of the original manga and I hate what happens in the sequel. I felt too much pain while reading this.
But on the other hand, Zero is one of my most favorite characters not only in Vampire Knight, but also among other anime, and I really like a couple of Kaname x Zero. And that's why I can't stop coming back to this anime, even if it broke my heart.

The chemistry between Kaname x Zero was better than the chemistry between Yuki x Karame or Yuki x Zero. I still often reread my favorite fanfiction with this ship. Unfortunately, there are not so many good fanfics in my native language.

I personally dislike Kaname, he’s done so much damage to others in order to “protect what matters to him.” Very conniving, especially when I found out he was the one to release Shizuka from her cage, ultimately leading to the massacre of the Kiryuu family. But I still ship him and Zero. Zero doesn’t back down, treats him like any other person (vampire) and that’s something that Kaname never experienced. I’d like to think it intrigues him. He still a bastard tho. Lol

Kaname and Zero have much more chemistry than Yuki being paired with them. Yuki is just like an annoying bug, a pest, a leech. I can't help but feel irritated whenever she has moments with them. I was like "wtf get out" when I see her. She feels like a hindrance to the Kaname x Zero ship to finally set sail.
