Hayes Valley is centered in the heart of San Francisco, sitting blocks away from City Hall and the San Francisco Opera House. It is easily accessible by the Civic Center BART station.

Hayes Street is considered the premier location in Hayes Valley for food, drink and shopping. There are dozens of independent merchants that own and operate the various restaurants, bars and boutiques. Here you will find a variety of bars and eateries--and even a beer garden--among many others, with most featuring outdoor dining.

For the shopaholics there's no shortage of boutiques ranging anywhere from adult and children's clothing, shoes, books and just about anything you can find. Patricia's Green on Octavia is a park that was constructed as part of Hayes Valley's transformation in the 90s. Parkgoers will find children's playgrounds, dogwalkers, and outdoor picnickers. Near the end of Hayes' border sits Alamo Square Park, featuring tennis courts, walking trails, benches, and some of the best views of downtown San Francisco. Come to Hayes Valley and see for yourself why it has become one of San Francisco's most vibrant and exciting new neighborhoods. You will find there is something for everyone here.
