It is wild for me to hear you talk about what you consider a “safe area.” You made the comment of, “this is a safe area… I could leave my door unlocked.” In the US what I consider to be a “safe area” is I can walk down the street at night as a woman without fear of being attacked or shot 😳

You have to visit the Nice suburbs of Hobsonville Point and Hobsonville. Lot of Newer houses here. Good motorway connectivity to both North shore and West Auckland. There are ferries to the City (one from Hobsonville Point, another from West Harbour)

The prices you mentioned in this video was before the huge increase in property prices in Auckland during the global Covid pandemic. Viewers must assume that rental prices are much higher now in Jan of 2021.

You missed Takapuna, Warkworth, Orewa, Westgate, Hobsonville, West Harbour, Titirangi, New Lynn, and how can you miss Pukekohe and theres more. Working class trades people live all over Auckland not jus West Auckland. Overall it had some good information and enjoyed it. Thanks.

You forgot to mention Mangere bridge is very low key and sleepy area, expensive but very central to both the city and the airport

Flatbush is a good area but the problem is that the houses a very close to each other. My friend lives there and said that at night when its quiet he can hear his neighbor flatulate every night since all the houses in that area being built so close to each other. The other thing is the parking, there are 6 plus bedroom homes with only a double garage and you'll be lucky to get one where you have space for a couple of more cars or even 1 to park on your property and to make it worse theres no off street parking. Cant park on the road and some can park on only one side of the road. Big houses with alot of parking issues and the houses being built very very close to each other and asking for over a million dollars not worh it.

Hi, useful video and thanks for sharing. I will be studying at AIS, Mt Albert and prefer to homestay but open to sharing as well. Considering part time job situation, which area do you recommend and if you can do a walking tour, it will be of great help!👍
