🇬🇧 Hi all Guys and welcome to this new video, today I will talk to you about the 39 International Drum Rudiments.
But how did these rudiments come about?
They were officially born in 1933 from a group of American drummers and percussionists who founded the (NARD) "The Association of Rudimental Drummers" who, discussing some teaching techniques, took 13 rhythmic figures, to which I added another 13 figures and were defined as the 26 standard rudiments for the drum.
Subsequently, the US (PAS) "Percussive Arts Society" reorganized the first 26 rudiments and added more, to complement the current 39 International rudiments for the drum.
The Rudiments are fundamental for learning the drum technique, and also distributed over the entire drumset offer the opportunity to explore new combinations and sound mixes.
