Fix Your Alert Box | StreamElements Alert Box Not Working

This is a short tutorial on how to fix your alert box in StreamElements. This is a very specific problem I was having so if you are having other issues please leave a comment down below and I will gladly help you out!

I updated the variations for my subs but it just keeps showing the default one... I saved each variation and the overall overlay. No idea what I'm doing wrong. The sound was updated but not the video/animation.

Well done! Super helpful. I was getting hung up on the default dimensions in OBS. When I didn't change it to a 16:1 ratio, the alert was showing up, but was cut off. Once I had the dimensions right, it fired off just fine.

wow, so it was really all about having the 1920x1080 resolution there...i spent like 40 minutes trying everything but couldn't figure it on my own, so thank you so much for this :D

This helped me. You may want to specifically say to test if the widget is working you go back to stream elements and click the emulate there and see if it works on your stream on obs. Thanks for this!

It still doesnt work for me cause I got a Streamelements Overlay and my alerts are all included there so no 1920x1080 setup possible for the small alert box lets say. The only difference I see is the custom CSS that is enabled on my overlay. Is that maybe the issue?

I did everything. It only shows up when I’m testing it . My stream labs is correct I’m using obs browsers with the stream elements url link. But when I go live I try to unfollow and follow the stream so I can see the alert in live action and nothing pops up . I still need help

Where did you do the "follower event" test? You clicked somewhere off screen. I can't get find where to do that test.

Some of the changes I'm making to the sound alerts aren't being saved, when Stream Elements says they are. I tried uploading custom sounds for all the alerts, and they all worked, except for the Sub and Cheer alerts. Those won't change, even after I hit "Save" and it says "Changes saved". The sounds are still on the defaults, and I can't get them to change
