The Covenant nearly lost to the might of the Lekgolo, and only the threat of annihilation made them stop and join the Covenant. It's fitting that the Prophets would say they "tamed" the hunters, when that's so far from the truth. God I love Halo

I love the lekgolo, they are so interesting. God i want a horror halo game, like a gritty flood city as an odst or even early years covenent, can you imaging the fear that could be induced with the first contact with the lekgolo XD.

Definitely one of the most unique aliens in sci-fi, the hunters have always been my favorite of the species that make up the covenant.

The Prophets often say they "Tamed" the Hunters, but that's not the case at all. They only convinced them to join the Covenant, after threatening to annihilate their entire race. Pretty ironic

Did you also know that the Megalekgolo (official name for hunter lekgolo forms) have whats called a "Battle brother"? When a lekgolo colony becomes too large. It splits into two different forms that heavily rely on each other. Like brothers. And when one dies. The other goes into a rage. There was even a story that a Megalekgolo lost its brother and caused rampage across High Charity then eventually commiting sudoku. Quite depressing its it?

Its weird, the arbiters ship looks like the head of those lekgolo worms that eat everything, they were left on the broken piece of instalattion 04 i think and Locke encountered them

Fun fact: In Halo Wars 2 there’s even a Hunter pair that are Banished commanders.

Also, IIRC a form of M’galekgolo appear as Banished “Goliaths”, essentially Hunters with huge boxing gloves instead of plasma cannons.

See how theyre basically just a formation of worms? It irks me seeing them with the emphasized glowing eyes. I may be wrong but i couldve sworn they didnt have "eyes" in the original trilogy..

And oh yeah, how in halo 5 you were able to see them drooling out of their "mouth" im like bruh they dont have mandibles or jaws the can drool out of, its a formation of worms
