I test drove a 2025 2500 Mega Cab Limited SRW this past Monday. All of his reactions are real. The exhaust brake is stronger than previous model years. There’s no dead pedal. Power and torque is there all the time regardless how fast or what RPM you’re at. The ZF knows exactly where to be at ALL times. Wheels break loose during every hard acceleration on dry ground. A whole new level for the Cummins. The best engine in its class has finally been unleashed with the ZF and some help with the 10 blade turbo. People complaining about the 3:42 gears need to understand that the ZF starts in 2nd gear and then goes through 8th. When in Tow/Haul mode, it starts in 1st which is more aggressive than a truck with 4:10 gears due to the tuning/gearing of the transmission. Changing the gear ratio to something more aggressive than stock 3:42 in the 2025 might screw up drivability.

Seems to drive pretty good. The l5p and powerstroke will outperform that cummins all day long. I will be interested to see this on the ike gauntlet on TFL truck. The 24 duramax and 24 powerstroke were very close. Cummins was to scared to show up. I like them all, to each his own. Currently have a l5p denali dually. Thinking of trying the High output powerstroke next. Either way nice truck Rocky.

I drove a 2500 big horn the other night and was impressed. I just wish they’d change the cab and bed. I priced out a Laramie level 2 plus (equivalent to my 2024) and a limited. The invoice price -$1000 on the Laramie is still more than the LTZ trail boss that I ordered at invoice.

Ive been in my 2014 Ram Megacab 3500 for 200k miles and looking at a replacement now. I was looking forward to the 2025's with the updated engine and new tranny, but there is really no difference in the cab in the new 100k truck and my 11 year old Ram (yes, the screen is a lot bigger in the new ones) - seats are same, dash is same, hump in the passenger floor and rear seat is the same..basically the cab design and frame are pretty old imo - I started looking at a 2025 Denali Ultimate and believe I am going to pull the trigger on that this week....I will miss the awesome exhaust brake on the Cummins (even my 2014 is stronger than the Duramax EB), but I think GMC or Ford offer better value (newer cabs, etc). Nice looking rig!

Ram is still Runnin a 2010 cab. I bought a super duty ho tremor. NOTHING compares to the power of ho. Ram is still slower than ford and pos chevy

But they added cloth on the limited leather seats! 16 yr old cab and seats! Passenger seat is still 6 way.
Still small cab and big bed or big cab and small bed.
Unacceptable on a 100k truck!
