↴ pls open + read me for helpful links and resources 🥺

I've packed for plenty of trips and I know my way around a packing list, but packing for college on another continent was a whole 'nother challenge... I've been in Europe for almost a week now and I don't think I've forgotten anything, so I would say I was successful!

For those of you who are curious, I'll be studying Communications and Digital Media at IE University in Madrid and Segovia, Spain. I'll be there for all 4 years (it sounds so crazy to say that), and plan on making lots more videos about the whole experience :) Let me know what videos you want to see!

From a Spanish person: if you are going to stay until December, trust me: you’ll need the long pants.
We have warm weather but not tropical, so it gets kinda cold in the winter. It also depends on where in Spain you are staying

Ps: if you are ever around A Coruña I’d LOVE to meet you. Hope you have a great stay 🥰

As a spanish girl, I reeeally recommend you bringing warm clothes for fall/winter. It gets pretty cold in Madrid in autumn and winter so keep that in mind :)

Funny you coming here. My kids are dying to go to college in the US which my oldest is next year. I Live in Madrid. You are definitely doing to need the jeans and cardigans if you are staying until December. It’s not that warm. Plus my kids (teenagers) love the clothes here so would bring less and shop here:)

I've been wanting to study abroad in Spain for a couple of years. I'm nearing my senior year and I'm going to start college soon. I took such a long break from learning Spanish and other goals. Thank you for reminding me and motivating me to work towards it again.

From Madrid: In winter, especially December and January, the weather gets pretty cold. It freezes in the mornings (usually around -2/-4ºC up to 10º at midday), so don't forget your long trousers.

I love how this video is super relevant to me, me too I am currently in the midst of preparing for my semester abroad. I am from Austria and will be studying in Canada this fall, so it's kind of like we're switching sides haha
So excited to see what you'll be up to in Spain! 🤗

I grew up in central Spain and… it’s not that warm there… in winter can get up to -10/-12 but will usually be around 3-7 degrees (this is Celsius btw). It used to be colder when I was a kid, damn climate change…

Hey! How exciting ❤️ yo también iré a Madrid para el año que viene ☺️ I’ve been living in Spain for the past 4 years and have recently discovered your channel. Si te apetece tomar algo un día, a mi me encantaría. I also make videos on my channel. Anyways, so excited to see your Spain content soon!

I'd also recommend something like fairy lights or any other light source that doesn't weigh much and a small familiar cozy blanket. I'm away for an internship a month and this tip really made me feel less homesick at night. So exited for your new experience! 💖

I wish you all the best and fun times. I did a summer study abroad program with my university in 2016. It was in Sevilla with weekend trips. It was interesting speaking Spanish since I'm a native speaker with Mexican parents. I'm now planning for a trip, hopefully in late 2022 to Madrid and Barcelona. Go Sun Devils!

Aw, I loved it. You remind me of myself right before I moved to Germany, you can never prepare for that at all. You just go through the motions.. a lot of motions.. and sooner or later the day comes when you're glad you did it and you can look back on your awesomeness!

Thankfully, you have all of us to love and cheer you on! 😊

Spain has a warm climate during summer, but winter it's cold (not too much, but coats are welcome from november/december, depending on the location). Madrid and Segovia are not the north of spain, but not so warm
