The New Spider-Man movie, Across the Spider Verse, came out last weekend. I went and see it, and decided to do a review of the new Spiderman movie from a Christian and Biblical perspective. Here are my thoughts.

Have you seen it or do you plan to? If so, let me know your thoughts down below!

I thought it was kind of sweet to see Gwen, her father and Peter in the beginning praying as they sat at the table and Mile's mom sweetly told her son "God bless you." In spanish.

Sad that we live in a day where we have to applaud for a movie not demonizing men. Surely, times have changed.

What stood out to me the most was the emphasis on family. They highlighted how big of a role his parents played in his life and how what they taught him stuck with him, while most other movies would have only focused on how the parents need to let go. That was very refleshing.

I love the way this guy produces content. Great opinion from a Christian prospective, without judging and self righteousness… while keeping the videos to the point & conservative, never pushes the division agenda & blatant hate towards a weird group of people… I HAD to comment on this one.. Well done brother in Christ! 💪🏽

Spider-Man is one of the most morally Christian-like characters that Marvel has. Spider-Man obviously isn’t practicing Christian but his values are very much Judeo-Christian oriented!

Am I the only one that loved hearing Miles Mom say "God bless you Miles"

What great christian message you pulled from this spectacular film 😎.

I've been thinking in recent memory about how no one is promised an easy life devoid of suffering, and so even when one becomes a christian they shouldn't expect to have that 🤔.

What timing 😂
Going to watch it later today ! Thanks for the thoughtful insight and connecting to the scriptures.

Yes.. I was actually moved multiple times throughout the film because i found myself able to resonate it to my own christian walk. Lately, I’ve been struggling a lot with identity and not feeling good enough, like I don’t really fit anywhere. Lack of self love and worrying too much about what others might think of me. Just in my own head. Rio’s words to Miles were really comforting. As well as B. Parker’s quote about the good and the bad and uncle *Aaron’s last words from the first movie. Just .. keep going. There are more but I don’t want to spoil. ..I would describe my walk as a little quiet at times but never lonely.. because I’m not alone. Both movies are just so good and I appreciate the hope and faith-filled encouragement so much.

"He got what He didn't deserve so that I could get what I didn't deserve"
This right here, folks, is where God's Justice and Love kiss; Consummation of Mercy and Grace.

Just wanna be honest here, I’ve been going through a lot recently with many different things all at once but what you said here about suffering really opened my eyes, and while I’m still kinda failing to see and even accept some of the lessons and some of the blessings as well, but you still really both opened my eyes, and reminded me more and more about the truth of God and his word, God bless you and may God light your path 🙏🏻❤️✝️

This is such a good take on the Spiderverse movie! I'm an animation student and I was looking forward to watch this with my friends this week, just to geek out with all the animation tricks and techniques they used as well as the story of the movie. Glad to hear that the story doesn't clash with my Christian convictions as well, now I'm even more excited to watch it in theaters.

I really liked this movie and excited for part 2! Disliked how it had the “protect trans kids” flag tho

Watching this video made me choke down tears. A few months ago, I had a stillborn baby. And while God has blessed me with such resiliency that I have somehow managed to avoid anger and bitterness, the pain of course lingers on. I still don't know what good God plans to bring about from this in my life or the lives of others. But i know that he is faithful and good and at the very least, my son is with him and will never experience pain or suffering.

Great point, I liked the scenes between miles and his parents and also Gwen and her dad, simple stuff like that is always either left out or overdone, but not in this film.

Thank you for this perspective. I find myself questioning God why I’m going through certain things or why I haven’t received what I feel are blessing. I needed to hear God will always keep his promises even through the trails and tribulations.

The thing I appreciated the most about the first movie was the fact that a company FINALLY managed to introduce and explore a black character without focusing on his race. I loved Into The Spider-Verse. Unfortunately that didn't last long as they now push trans agenda for kids and BLM. I guess I should've expected it.
