I have seen this done with a gas motor back in the 90s where they use essentially a foot peg welded to the motors shaft and friction spins the wheel. Tire wear is a major issue. The brushless motor also looks small here though, so I wouldn't expect a lot of torque or speed since it looks like an outrunner which limits peak rpm.

Obviously you can’t leave it on your bike. Same with any accessory. I use to remove my tachometer, water bottle and any detachable. Even when just stopping for a cup of coffee. A backpack is essential.

Why isn't there any tests shown in actual (gravel environment) or any other (wet) environment. Putting this thing on in clean places looks cool and all, but its not actually working like this, if you go outside and small stones are between 2 rubber objects that are in constant motion.
