If you actually follow the Bible as you claim, you'd read in Jeremiah why they Israelites were cast out of the Holy Land for the 2nd time - only to be brought back again - and still they didn't fulfill their covenant with God. So they were cast out again and they're not supposed to come back to the Holy Land until their Messiah brings them back. The current "Israel" is actually against the Torah. Israel is another name of the prophet Jacob. So when Israel is referenced back then, it was in correlation to his descrndants. It is not the same thing as some group of ppl claiming the prophet's name for their benefit. How can you ascertain that the palestenian ppl are not descended from the prophet, there for called bani Israel? While they have the same name, they're different entities. They merely stole the name of the prophet, and come judgement day, God will punish them for all they had done and are still doing, while stealing the Prophet Jacob's name

Israelites first entered Canaan is only after 1250 Bce, settling at first in the hill country and in the south. The Israelites’ infiltration was opposed by the Canaanites, who continued to hold the stronger cities of the region.
