Pokémon Tips: Neutralizing Galarian Weezing

The title pun was totally intentional.

Using Golduck (found in the Isle of Armor) and its standard ability Damp, I recommend you teach it the Level Up moves of Disable and Hypnosis. Its Egg Move “Simple Beam” will be required. Timid Nature is optional, but max IV and EV in Speed will ensure Golduck outspeeds any wild Galarian Weezing you encounter, just to be safe.

Turn 1: Use “Simple Beam” to get rid of the Neutralizing Gas ability
Turn 2: Use “Disable” if Weezing used “Self-Destruct” on Turn 1. If not, waste the turn using an item like X Speed, a Berry, etc
Turn 3: Swap to a Pokémon with “False Swipe”
Turn 4: Use “False Swipe” to reduce Weezing’s HP to 1
Turn 5: Swap back to Golduck
Turn 6: Use “Hypnosis” to put Weezing to Sleep
Turn 7: Throw any PokéBall you want to catch Weezing!
Turn 8: Repeat Turn 6 or 7 depending on the scenario
