Stock Video sales with BlackBox Global
Показать описание
We have all likely seen the videos explaining how to make extra cash selling stock photos and videos. Perhaps there was some truth mixed in with the hype at one time but that has not been my experience. The video here contains the measly 5 sales that I have made from over 170 submissions. Seems like the law of supply and demand still in effect.
The site is free to join but everything has its costs. The stock agency that makes the sale takes 60%. BlackBox takes 15% of the net proceeds and a sale of $80 would get you only $27.20.
Other general information;
BlackBox only distributes video clips. It is not a site for stock photos.
All submissions will be reviewed and you will need a model or property release for recognizable people or places. You need to use an FTP client as there are no drag-and-drop capabilities on the site.
Clips should be under one minute in duration with a quality of 1080 P or higher. Most late-model smartphones can easily accomplish this. Perhaps an easy way to get started?
Difficult to know where your clip is sold as that information is not tracked. Also, you will need to generate your own descriptions and keywords. One trick I use is to use a unique identifier so that I can search the other sites and easily see where my clips are being sold. I think it is technically against the rules but I have not had any issues. I use my initials TCK in the keywords and my clips will come up in future searches.
Certainly, not a way to get rich as my revenue after 2 years is just over $100. Perhaps you have some clips on your hard drive already and would like to test your skill as a video creator!
