Recent speaker at the Film Institute at Montclair State, James Naremore, author of "The Magic World of Orson Welles" describes the power of Welles' work and how his films prevail as a undeniable masterpieces to be studied and examined.
Naremore was a guest of a two-part event at the Film Institute celebrating the 100th birthday of the film giant Orson Welles, which also included a screening of the documentary film "Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles" (2015).
Film Institute at Montclair State is an initiative of the College of the Arts, dedicated to the preservation, growth and enrichment of the art of film through research, education, professional development and community programming. Based within the College of the Arts at Montclair State University, the Film Institute leverages the University's rich resources in filmmaking and film scholarship together with the impressive array of film industry assets and opportunities in New York City, New Jersey and Los Angeles.
