2D Animation Showreel 2023!

Howdy! This year was my last at university! Unfortunately I was unable to complete my third year due to life problems but the experience I've gained during my time here has been invaluable. Not just in what I've been able to achieve while here, but also the amazing friends I've made who have helped me in so many ways. I'm very proud to consider them my found family.

This showreel is a compilation of my best stuff (in my opinion) from recent years. I do wish I could have done more and see the peak of what I'm really capable of (a limit I do not yet think I have shown yet), but I did my best despite my less than ideal circumstances.

At the moment I'm hopeful to say that I'm making progress in terms of figuring out my future and how I can live with my disabilities. Once I feel stable and have made enough progress with healing, I hope that I can join the animation industry and fulfil my dream of creating animated music videos and other animated projects :) Wish me luck!

(btw there's some animation from a meme I started a while ago but haven't managed to finish yet. I hope to finish it at some point though, so maybe keep an eye out for it eheh)

I remember your art being so impactful on me way back, I was still in highschool.
Your character was soft and whimsical and I felt like I aimed for similar vibes with my own art.

I graduated in applied arts in highschool and got into art school, I learned so much and created my best jobs, and I really tried to pushed through, but I too, was unable to finish the school year.
Now I'm struggling to find my way and to be proud about what I'm learning because I've been solely focusing on my health for two years now and I feel like I lost all my life purposes, because I'm unable to continue the journey towards making the art I can only dream about.
It feels really isolating also, because the friends I made are what I would call successful for myself, and they don't really understand why I'm "leaving behind" the things that make us so passionate.

It's bittersweet knowing that I'm not alone in a similar situation. But, deep down, I feel like what I'm capable of doing when I'm in the right space is very much worth the effort to keep going
