Cherish Hounslow, a 12-month partnership between Naz and Metro Charity set up to serve the health and wellbeing needs of LGBT+ and Black & Brown communities in Hounslow is proud to present a book reading and talk by Sabah Choudrey for LGBT History Month.
Sabah, a Hounslow resident and an accomplished educator and public speaker has just published ‘Supporting Trans People of Colour’ How to make your practice inclusive. Sabah who describes themselves as a reluctant activist has frequently made it onto The Rainbow List celebrating 101 of the most influential LGBT people in Britain and is a celebrated speaker at TEDxBrixton talking about being ‘Brown, Trans, Muslim and Proud’ which has hit over 50K views.
Sabah has worked with queer, trans and non-binary youth since 2014 with Allsorts Youth Project and Metro Charity, Gendered Intelligence and has formed networks for Black and Asian and Minority Ethnic LGBTQ Youth Workers and Youth across the UK, including Colours Youth Network, bringing together LGBTQ young People Of Colour from all over England.
