I had the honor of seeing Kerry Butler as Eponine in Les Miserables on Broadway many years ago. The first time seeing Les Miz on Broadway was a life-changing experience and I still remember to this day that mesmerizing feeling. It will always remain the most memorable Broadway experience, even though I have seen many fantastic shows over the years and many different renditions of Les Miz since. And of course the highlight of it was Kerry Butler singing On My Own. I can still remember looking up the actress playing Eponine in the Playbill with shaking hands, and though I don't remember any other name, I still remember Kerry Butler's to this day. And luckily, I was able to stumble upon this wonderful performance and relive that memory briefly!

As much as I love Kerri, I do not like her voice (for this song.) I do not think it suits the struggle that Eponine goes through. HOWEVER her acting is absolutely incredible therefore, she should definitely be a future Eponine.
