Does anyone remember the Indiana/Ohio pizza places called "Flying Tomato"? And the smaller takeout outlets called "Garcia's Pizza In A Pan"? (ISU and OSU campus areas). You could get their regular pizza, pizza by the slice, or "Middleweight Stuffed" pizza or "Heavyweight Stuffed" pizza as well. It had crust, cheese with whatever "toppings" you want, another layer of crust and then the sauce on top. Oh god that was good! Every week I would go there and get a Heavyweight and eat almost the whole thing just sitting in my car. I've tried to recreate this, but with limited success.

Although not at a College, and on an Interstate Highway, there is a Steak and Shake a few miles from out house. We go there all the time. Good burgers.

Waffle Shop YUMMM and the Frog joint sounds good too just not at the same time. Never thought Steak & Shake as a college hangout. BURGER sounds good to me too this site is so much fun here. Love the Gators here in Burlington Iowa here too
