This is becoming an increasing problem. Without exaggeration, I block at least 4-6 email domains a day, as well as block 4-6 phone calls a day. It has become a daily part of our lives. Gov't intervention has to become more aggressive with these issues, as it decreases our quality of life and monetary loss for many. Good one Brian👍👍👍

This should be a Public Service Announcement.

Education is far behind scams. Will probably always be that way, but people must be vigilant on the internet, what they choose to click and what sites they trust.

And they want a cashless society... No thanks.

I've gotten emails telling me about a questionable change on my credit card, please call at once. At that point I pull out the credit card in question and call the number printed on the credit card. I NEVER call the number sent in a text or email. That way I'm sure I'm talking to my credit card company and not some scam operation.

I remember that feeling of panic at some of these 'urgent' emails but after that initial adrenalin rush, I calm down and think it through before doing anything about it. Whew. Once you get a second instance, you know better that it is a scam. Now I watch a lot of these videos and keep myself informed of the latest scams.

Very good video Brian! I get spam messages all the time, most are obvious, some are ridiculously vague. 1) NEVER do business on the phone with anyone who calls and asks you to verify who YOU are or asks for information from you. 2) Do not click on ANYTHING in a text message, even if you think it's valid. Go out to the web site (do not use links in the message to get there), sign in and see for yourself if there is a problem.

Well done, Brian, for putting out a video like this warning people, unfortunately, there are a lot of very gullible people out there who need warning all the time about these things and not to go near them.

In this day and age you would think that authorities that have the ways and means and laws to do something about these scammers would have something in place to at least start making examples out of these scammers and hold them accountable and jail time.😡😡😡

Some scammers notified me of suspended package several times and made their colors look like a FedEx color... I never went to the next step cos I was suspicious that it was a scam. Good video 👍

Other common scams are mails claiming to be from HMRC stating that you have a tax refund due and that you need to provide bank details in order for you to receive it. This has been going on for years. Also, mails allegedly from Royal Mail, asking for payment of £2.49 before an item they are allegedly holding can be delivered.
The advice regarding visiting your bank in person is good providing you have a branch near you that is still open! Also, I have found trying to deal with a Santander Business account in branch pretty frustrating as the account is ‘all online’.
Be vigilant … the scummy scammers are heartless criminals.

Another scam is when you receive texts that say hi or another general message with someone else’s name. This is to gauge whether the number is active and continue communication. I hope what I’ve experienced and read helps someone out there!

Great video Brian, thank you. I've gotten the Netflix & PayPal scams as well as some others. I rarely use my phone for email, but I have received the SMS messages which I always delete. If it's something extremely important the companies will know how to contact you in a proper fashion.

Well at least if you do click on it, the request for your personal information should prompt you to stop, block and delete the source. If in doubt, call or go to the company in question to speak to a human. Thanks again for your valuable information.

The scam messages that I get are all filtered and piled up in my email bin. I rarely get SMS, and because it's rare I treat everything received with great suspicion 🤨

I find not having a Smartphone is a great way of avoiding this.

It would be wonderful if someone build and AI to send them fake emails with fake data into all this scammers...
It would drive them crazy to see 100millions responses with none been real victims.

If 100 million Americans contacted their senators and congressmen. And told them fix this or you won't get reelected. And then back it up at the next election. We could have this problem under control
