This was such a easy win for Ubisoft
Coop pirate game, with exploration, ship battles, sword fighting, good loot and customization
And awesome world to explore with quests and side quests
But nah live service only ship battle game

The time it took for this game to be released, Two The Last of us games, Two Red Dead Redemption games Two Mafia Games, and numerous Assassins Creed games have dropped

This game will perfectly encapsulate everything that is wrong with the gaming industry.

$60 price tag for a life service focused title.
Noteworthy cosmetics locked behind a paywall.
Dull or tacked on gameplay mechanics.
FOMO inducing battlepasses or something similar to one.
Little to no content in the game that will be playable when servers are either dead or shut down.
Most likely be extremely grindy to artificially increase player retention for the few that will be playing it.


I want to be proven wrong but I'm tired of games that try to nickel and dime you and have forced PvP modes that pair you with sweat-lords especially when the playerbase dwindles.

Wish the beta was for console players as well. Ive been enthusiastic about this game since 2017 and have yet to play even a second of it. The closed beta of course giving the participants cosmetics that will not be capable of getting. Hopefully a beta of some form opens up to console players in the future.

It looks just like the classic Black Flag. Except without, you know, the combat, story, land exploration, climbing mechanics, animals, or fun.

This game was in development hell for 10 YEARS!! This game was also originally an Assassin's Creed IV: BLACK FLAG expansion, so why not just make a full on sequel to Black Flag with this upgraded naval combat? I guess Skull and Bones's gameplay will be the foundation for the rumored Black Flag Remake.
