Met a good dude while I was serving in the military. He told me “you’re gonna laugh but Kwame Brown is from my home town and he’s a hometown hero where I’m from. He inspired a whole generation to be better” words to that effect.
He might be an NBA bust but at least he’s not a bust at life

Kwame was drafted to the nba, something that less than 2% of basketball players in the world could even achieve. Hell of an accomplishment

He couldn't been that much of a bust, he played for 13 years. The man RETIRED in his 30s. I wish I could be a bust like Kwame.

Champions don’t sit and cry. They make a bad situation into an opportunity . Bustlife is a great example. Great man KB. Respect.👍🏽

Let's never forget that Kwame Brown, T-Pain and The Lox, specifically Jadakiss won 2021.

My team beat Kwame's in his final high school basketball game in the final 4. He had 38 (I had 30...random, unnecessary humble brag). I never saw a player with his skill set before, he broke our full-court press, hit 3 pointers, fadeaways, dunked on us a million times, etc. He would've had 100 points had his teammates given him the ball every time. We had no answer for him. I knew then, that he'd be the #1 NBA pick. And he deserved it. He had a decade-long career in which he made millions. Under no circumstance is that a bust.

It’s a shame to see how so many ppl can hate on a man that has accomplished more then they can dream! Kwame didn’t have a hof career at all but he was able to get his family out of poverty buy his mom a huge house and he take care of his business. He never said he was the best player in the NBA but to be little him call him a bust etc is crazy that man is a King salute to him and his career he done something a lot of ppl can’t do.

Shouts out Kwame! He's calling out the practical use of HATERS. His story is proving just how deep the "hate" can run.

Would’ve loved to watch Kobe and Kwame’s chemistry develop even further. I remember when they started getting comfortable with each other. That was great to see.

If Kobe got a younger Kwame he could have helped mold him way better then Jordan could, Kobe wanted a batman at that time Jordan wanted a punching bag

I loved this Brother's game in LA when he played for the hometown Lakers. I knew we had a rebounder and post-defender whenever he came in. Shoutout to the channel owner, Kwames GreatestFan - he never allowed himself to be swayed by the media's narrative. He's been exposing the lies about Kwame's game for damn near a decade...like a lone wolf howling in the wilderness

Andrew Bynum made an all star team and lasted 5 years. Yi julian lasted 5 years. Anthony Bennett drafted number 1, lasted 5 years being traded 4 times. Kwame brown played 10 years. That ain't a bust. That's living a great life

It's funny how all the 'busters' been spitting poison on Kwame, but yet, one of the greatest players of all times is showering him down with compliments. What's up with that?

If players are given the opportunity and proper motivation, they will have the confidence fo be the besr they can be. I believe kwame's ceiling is far greater than what he achieved but what he achieved is greater than what most of us, under his circumstances, would have achieved. I think none of us could ever call someone a bust especially when we are not in their shoes

No matter how hard you work sometimes you may not have the talent to be like Kobe or Lebron & there's nothing you can do about it but keep trying and work hard which Kwame did & that's all that matters. Regardless he made it to the NBA.. the biggest league in the world.

His take on Kwame changed after he got traded. Kobe knew what he was saying. You don't want any smoke with your teammates.

The thing ppl miss about kwame is that he was just ahead of his time kwame was a lockdown rebounder who had a handle and could pass he wasn’t the best scorer. He would be perfect in todays game

i would say his promise most shined in the later part of his first year in LA, I remember he was avg something like 15 and 9 for the last month and a half of the reg season and LA was real excited about that. The big guns were out of comission so he stepped it up. It was definitely Kwame fever for that short spell and I remember that was the same year UCLA went to the championship game and radio callers were more interested in hearing Kwame news instead. I have a real soft spot for big guys who can play out of their mind when they are asked to step it up like Elden Campbell before him. When they rise to the occasion they rise to the occasion!

This has to give you a newfound respect for Kwame Brown if Kobe was talking good about him like this.
