After the AP ratio nerf it was so obvious that the burst build was dead in the water but everyone kept falling for the propaganda. It seems like anything that has a haunting guise in it is great for mel

Nice video but you skip an important tip on Mel: her ease to steal objectives with her passive !
You just need to Q/E behind the walls when a drake or Nash is low HP to have a high probability to steal it, simply because your passive executes quickly (like collector).
So it's doesn't matter how much damage has ennemy team. If they don't burst the objective on the end (no smite/Q or R on Cho Gath), your stacks will finish it.

Your team need way less risks and resources than a team without Mel to get steals. Get some vision at the good moment and snipe it safely (with maybe a kill at the same time), or fake a contest just to distract the jungler. It's so broken imo.

Rabadons is NOT the best choice mel could go for- especially for late game as you tend to go it later on in the build. Zhonyas, cosmic drive are way better options. Id even go rylais or lich bane before rabadons. Flat ap on the ultimate doesnt matter late game as you do enough damage from burn items and pen items, also her cds are low.

I think the biggest problem with Mel is the design of her w. It basically punishes the enemy for hitting skillshots (what feels really shit on a champ with that range), so you are often in a position where you never cast certain spells on her directly, which prevents all-ins as long as Mel doesn't fuck up. Champs that are dependent on hitting cc spells like lux, tf, lissandra and others just have to pray that at one time Mel reflects an irrelevant ability, so they can finally dish out one rotation and hope she dies. Meanwhile they get poked from a range that can rival Xerath's.

This is easily one of the larger L’s released recently. Champions that are this easy to pilot should not have this much in their kit. It’s not that she does 1 thing well, it’s that she does a little bit of everything an artillery mage could ever do, and does it effortlessly. I don’t mind Azir to be able to do as much as he does because he’s hard. This champ is not.

I dont understand how much stacks each enemy champion requires to execute them

A champ with very long range, high poke damage, can execute(objective too!), large CC, Unavoidable big damage, invincible with reflex projectile and movement speed.
I don't see anything in her kit balanced.
Can deal 1100 damage every 3.5sec just only Q and have execute?(test on mage level 18 full build too) (in first patch she can do around 1200-1400 for a single cast)
A large long range CCs low CD with execute too?
W than can prevent enemies from hitting their skill on her before her use it with only 14sec CD? and for a champ who don't have projectile she can just use it to immune damage?
R than can deal Big damage low casttime and can't dodge?
And build-in lich bane too?

How can they think she is balance? Just only Q E R + passive can make her broken but they give W to her and make her IMBA now. hot fix doesn't change anything. Just most people suck at her doesn't mean she is balanced. Just like Hwei who can deal 10-15K AOE damage but has 29% winrate because many people want to try him without knowing his skill.

On my server, I see many Mel player who never hit Q in fight but can kill 5/0 ADC by just W + R + AA is very disgusting.

Nerf only affected mouthbreathers in Wood 4, the fundamentals problems with the champ are still there
