The council added so-called 'traffic calming measures' to this road a few months ago - chicanes every few hundred metres that supposedly slow down traffic. They just seem to add to the number of potentially dangerous interactions with cars, thanks to idiots like this.

this is what i keep trying to tell you people. all this did was piss people off and make them give less of a flying fuck about you. you cant 'traffic calm' someone who doesn't give a fuck and has somewhere to be. they tried those little traffic circles here. you had people doing donuts around them. and you would have some dude on a bike stuck scared while everyone else blasted through as fast as they could trying to not have to yield.
