I never tire of books, so your library was a treat for me. Keep all those plates in the air, Witch! I don't know how you do it, but keep your energy high as a kite.

As a beginner occultist I have been so overwhelmed trying to find information. There is so much out there nowadays it's hard to know where to start and who to listen to. There's hundreds of lists of best beginner books it seems, but your video has given me the most meaningful information. I'm so grateful I found your channel and I appreciate your knowledge and the way you explain it. Very relatable and digestible. So Thank you for doing you. 😁🙏

This is a great video. My library has the same sections - occult, herbalism, homesteading, and science. Good luck on your homesteading journey! I’ve been doing the same for about the same length of time. It’s cool to find someone who’s into self sufficiency but is an occult nerd, too.

Controversial opinion: I internally question if anyone that claims to dislike Scott Cunningham because he was Wiccan has ever read one of his books throughly. I began my journey in the early 90s when the internet was still called the information superhighway, and connecting with other witches was difficult. He was one of the few authors that validated solitary practitioners at a time when the validity of a solitary practice was questioned by some of the other popular authors of the day. Obviously, I chose a more Pagan path over traditional Wicca, but Cunningham lit the way for me more than anyone else. Having read most of his books, I think the most exclusionary thing he ever wrote was Wicca in the Kitchen (which was called ‘The Magic in Food’ back then (get off my lawn lol)) because it doesn’t include anything about meat, other than that he wouldn’t be including meat. He was a vegetarian that held fast to his ideals, and I respect that. I still have a copy and I still refer to it. Love me some Cunningham!

I am so glad that I found you. I have been binge watching your videos since seeing you on the Witch if Wonderlust channel. You have been such a pleasure to watch and learn from that so bad for my ThriftBooks cart!!!🤣🤣 I love your book recommendations.

I have watched this video twice in the past two days. I've added several books to my next book order and can't wait to check them out. I've even noticed a few that I already had since I came into this path via the scientific / spiritual side first. You might want to read the 'Biology of Belief' if you like Joe Dispenza. It's very interesting to see how belief truly changes us and is complementary to what Dispenza says. Gregg Braden is also interesting when it comes to the mix of science and faith but from the science side. Thank you again for sharing your library.

Completely off topic but I freaking love the crow statue downstairs. Insane collection of incredible books! I wish someone would just read to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I love your library, and the fact you've thrown in a few things that in their own writing aren't necessarily part of the occult is fascinating; I do that too.

Ive decided to throw in some old ww2 era books ive found into my library.

One is on inorganic chemistry, which, will definitely be helpful in an indepth guide to the elements and chemicals.

And the other is on electricity and electrical circuits. I figured the understanding of literal energy in its scientific base, and how we use it for our every day lives will also be helpful. (Im also just a science nerd)

As well as the fact i also have one of dr. Joe's books so far, which is becoming supernatural. Its fantastic, i plan to get the others soon!

Again, awesome library and video!!

Thanks for sharing your bookshelves with us with your collection of books. I seen a lot of them that I have in my collection and some that are on my wishlist. I myself use Scott Cunningham's books and they are great for a beginner starting out. You take what you want from the books and leave the rest. When I started out I thought of myself as all three: a pagan, a Wiccan and a Witch. I now only think of myself as a Pagan and a Witch. I have been on this path since 98' and there were years I didn't practice that much, life got too busy.
I love herbal medicine, aromatherapy, growing veggies, herbs and flowers. To think when I was younger that I had issues keeping plants alive. I have gotten better and it is trial and error. Especially with getting to know your soil and getting the mixture right. I have been buying gardening books and taking a course on regeneration gardening, it is awesome. Need to be in a home that I don't have to worry about the landscrapers spraying my stuff even when I put up signs saying not to spray. Ugh.

Thank you so much for this fantastically helpful video. Your home is so beautiful 😍
I’ve never felt drawn to Wicca either but love Scott Cunningham books & have been using them in my practice for at least 15 years

I’m a death doula, and I can’t wait to read that Death Nesting book. I’d actually had never heard of it! I got my certification through the School of American Thanatology.

Love the dog and cat cameos at the end hahaha. Thanks for this! I appreciate your rational and scientific approach to magic - it's certainly been helpful with getting started. I've got a bunch of new books to add to my list now!

I adore the Green Man tree! That was honestly the first thing that I fixated on in that first shot. I am obsessed with your collection! I need to get my hands on some more books. I think Psychic Witch is going to be one of my next buys, just because I adore Mat's content on social media.

Death Nesting sounds interesting to me since I was a Deputy Coroner for a combined 21 years.
