Sonic the Fighters (PS3): Arcade Playthrough - Sonic/Super Sonic

This game is available on PS3 and Xbox 360 for $5, so I decided to pick it up and meet the requirement to play as Super Sonic (which is beating Metal Sonic in the first round without losing any rounds prior to reaching him, then activating hyper mode). In addition to the regular arcade mode, there is also the addition of Honey the Cat as a playable character in arcade and versus mode. You can also play as Metal Sonic and Eggman, though they are not available in arcade mode. If that's not enough to warrant shelling out $5, there is also an online mode that was added to the game, which includes both ranking and non-ranking modes. Enjoy! ^_^

I thought the fight between Sonic and Tails was adorable. I mean, here you have two best friends for life playfully fighting each other. I didn't even get the sense of them intentionally trying to smash each other to pieces like the other fights.

Also, when Sonic defeated Bean, I guess you could say, "GOTTA' GO OUT WITH A BOOM!!" :P

At first I wondered why Super Sonic took the ship instead of flying on his own. Then I realized he needed to take the ship back to Tails somehow.

I like how the fighters keep dropping Rings, nice little homage to how they drop Rings when being hit in normal Sonic games. Though, you have to wonder how many Rings they even have.

I remember I played this on Gems Collection when I was 10. The first time I ever managed to get Super Sonic (and I sucked at the game, so I tried ALOT), I was about to beat Metal... then the power went out... Citywide...

Wish there was another Sonic game like this. Sega could pair up with ArcSys perhaps to create a Sonic fighting game.

In the pause menu there's a skill list. It should be near the bottom. It was there in the game cube version anyway.

I think it's something like down, quarter-circle-back, and press 3 of the attack buttons at the same time.

Espio can block them too (he can spin dash as well). It's funny cause Fang is easily countered by those 4, but when he fights anyone else, he destroys them (especially Bark, who has trouble getting close enough to attack).
