Anthony Albanese discusses pre-election push amid Queensland visit

The unofficial 2025 federal election campaign is underway with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese conducting a multi-state blitz.

The PM has launched a multistate tour for the New Year including visits to Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

This follows the Labor Party's announcement of a $7.2 billion pledge to improve the safety of the Bruce Highway.

Mr Albanese joined Sky News Australia to discuss the election year.
