Thanks for this, Audrey. My takeaways are 1) button-downs are always classy and 2) when wearing shorts, you may choose a long top. I'll choose short sleeves in the heat, eventhough I know long sleeves are elongating.

I loved this, but I would like some examples for hot weather, I feel it is easier to dress in cool and cold weather, since you have multiple pieces and layers to play along. Like 84°F is colder than the fall temperatures we have here in my country. Please give examples of how we could dress elegantly in a 97°F.
