In this NBA Finals preview short from The KG Certified full episode, Paul Pierce breaks down how Nikola Jokic's rest and Jimmy Butler's momentum could determine the championship. While the Nuggets have been off for 10 days, the Heat are red-hot after a grueling series win over the Lakers. The Truth argues that Butler and Miami's momentum will overpower any benefits of Jokic's recovery time. Pierce scoffs that the Joker's "knees just feel a LITTLE better?!" after a long layoff and that it "takes MORE than 10 days" to overcome the rhythm of Butler's surging Heat squad. A peek at the key factors that could decide if the Larry O'Brien trophy goes to the rested or the relentless.

This is a great insight. I'm with KG. You want some rest, you don't want a lot of rest.
I'm not wit KG on that second part. I think the nuggets ride together. I don't think the young players wouldn't want to practice with the team. Braun had been giving full effort, he's been making mistakes but the effort is clear.

KG dont want Jokic to win, the way he's going if he wins a chip he would have done what KG couldnt do, lead his original team to a championship (without jumping ship and ring chasing), win a Finals MVP and beat Wilts Triple double record. That would definitely put KG several places down the best players list. And Jokic still has several good years ahead. KG, as loud as he's trying to be relevant today, milking that one ring via Ray Allen and Paul Pierce for all its worth, KG is still beneath Tim (Best PF ever) and Dirk (who swept and owned him) legacy-wise.

KG being a former superstar knows what’s up. All 15 guys ain’t locked in with 10 days off. Jokic for sure, Murray maybe everybody else who knows. Is Bruce Brown going hard all 10 days? Is Deandre Jordan staying ready all 10 days just incase Aaron Gordon fouls out? Nah
