Perfect timing with this video as it will really help me out with long shots on a movie I'm planning that is based in a forest.

Wow this is awesome, I've been looking at a bunch of geo nodes landscape tutorials but I've been trying to find a way to do these that gives more manual control instead of the mountains and surfaces being controlled entirely by noise. Can't wait to try this out this week!

If you use a point on instance mapping and select the z you can stop the trees from going to the top of the mountains as they don't usually grow up on the big ones.
Good looking picture.

After applying the noise to the tree it looked like a bob ross painting for a moment .. I liked it.. 😁 my machine is not that heavy but i think i wil see how far i can go . Thank you very much for all the in depth tutorials which go a bit further than beginners tutorials .

its a really helpful content on geometry nodes we can use image texture to determine our prefered spots where we want trees to be on mountain instead of random noise textures
Keep the work goin mate

Nice tutorial. Thank you for sharing. Tutorial suggestion: normal map baking and saving it to a file so that it can be used, e.g., in UE5

You really make such great tutorials! You actually teach rather than give an exact step by step with exact numbers or anything. You teach people how to use the nodes and textures and all that by themselves which is amazing!

first time I see the way you use volume. that is great!

thanks for another great tutorial. I really like when you break down what you're doing and how it can be used elsewhere. I still don't understand a lot of the nodes and when to use them, and your tutorials have really helped

You make it look so easy. Maybe one day I'll get there and be that quick. The trees really look like trees for just being cones.

Do procedural slums/ghetto, geometry nodes for the houses while keeping the paths through them would be neat

Love it - can't wait to try this myself! ❤

Hi, it would be great to see more using Video footage and 3d tricks . apart from Ian hubert's tutorials there is not much out there which takes deep dives in doing things, with your level of knowledge i am sure we might get to learn to work with that pipeline more efficiently !

you do such a great job with these tutorials. I'm not sure if you done a underwater scene. Those are very difficult to achieve something nice
