I've been a long-time follower of yours, watching countless videos from your playlist and absorbing your insights on various tech topics. However, I must say, this particular video stands out as one of the most significant, not only within your channel but also across the broader tech community. Your teachings have always encouraged me to adopt a holistic view, whether delving into the intricacies of programming languages or understanding the engineering aspects behind them. This video reinforces the importance of maintaining a broad perspective, rather than succumbing to knee-jerk reactions in times of uncertainty—an invaluable lesson applicable beyond the realm of technology. Thank you, Hitesh sir, for being both an exceptional teacher and a remarkable human being.

Things i wanna point out are -
how problem solving takes place -
1. using the association rule to relate the current problem with existing problem/problems
2. manipulating the whole problem itself to put in solvable domain in our knowledge- in other words generalizing the problem.
3. looking for the generalized solution if its not in your knowledge.
4. if solution not existing -
5. segmenting the generalized problem into smaller problems - making the whole graph of problem
repeat 1- 5 for sub problem

a problem can be segmented into number of sub problems where each sub problem can be solved in many ways but only the best way is selected - where we already know sub problem can have many sub problem and this goes on...

--this algorithm is followed by us for solving problems--

The point is humans are not "nobody can reach our level of intelligence" - AI will definitely go beyond our level -
"as desires are the not part of intelligence but curiosity"

This man just saved my next 2-3 weeks(which I will be wasting by worrying about jobs and doubting myself regarding my coding journey) with just a simple explanation. Loved the video . Thanks a lot ....

So i find out this interesting comment

There is an excellent paper by Timnit Gebru called "Are Language Models are Stochastic Parrots?". It was suppressed by all of Big Tech and Many academic institutions funded by Big Tech because it asked a question whether these language Models are learning anything (getting a "parametric fit") or are they just memorising stuff ("overfitting", thus being a stochastic/probabilistic parrot)? The paper showed that neither the academia or the industry has no clue/no benchmark to prove that the model is learning anything (can adapt to new input, though it may seem that they are)! So yes these LLMs Maybe able to pump up code, but they will also be pumping up bugs. Remember, Turing has already proved that it is impossible to create a program that proves that a program is bug free. Even formal proofs are ridiculously hard to do even for subsets of programs. Like literally it took 5- 6 years of researchers to even write a formally correct C compiler in 2000s, 30 years after C was developed! That's how hard it is. So good luck, your job is not at stake, however it is stupid to use a chisel to break a rock when a jackhammer is available.

Thank you, Hitesh Sir, for your clear explanation. I've been following your guidance for the past six years. Unlike other influencers who try to sell their courses by instilling fear in newcomers about job prospects, you consistently provide genuine teachings. It's important for people to follow authentic mentors like Hitesh who prioritize knowledge over fearmongering.

Thank you for this informative video. It stands out that while some tech YouTubers have begun producing short videos with sensationalized titles like "Software Engineering Will Be Dead, " only to promote their courses, you've taken a different, appreciated approach.

AI can never replace humans. It can be more like a assistant of a developer then the actual developer

I was planning to learn CSS 2 years ago, then this AI and chatGPT comes up, and I was thinking what is the point of learning now, but now after 2 years finally I started to learn CSS, and the jargens words flex-grow flex-shirnk etc now making sense to me, previously I was asking chatgpt to give me the code and paste it, but finally I am now learning it and able to understand whats going on behind the scene. Please don't stop your learning with the thinking of that AI will replace me or AI can write the code, it will not work for me and for you as well. Please learn and please strong your basics and fundamentals, Thank you Hitesh, you are real GEM, after watching your videos consistently I finally now able to understand that, these are just market hipes, so we should not scared about these, rather using these to assist us. Thank you once again @Hitesh

I appreciate you explaining about Devin and this type of AI and clarifying whether we should be concerned.

Haha I was never worried about Devin. I was very excited because I knew it's just another to get work done quickly and earn more

but Sir, you only talked about what these tools like devin are going to do in present, that they will assist us, its fine, but AI will keep evolving, and who knows, after 10-12 years, what it will be capable of, I am asking this as a 25 years old software engineer with 3 years of experience, When I will be 35 or 40 or 45, I have no idea what will happen to software engineers at that time.

Devin is created by a bunch of world class competitive programmers. Software is way more complicated than figuring out right away like a competitive programming question. I think this is gonna be just like Chatgpt and will end up like a tool, at least for a decade unless ai learning systems change.
