Great video but one issue. It is highly recommended to use copper pipe for the first 10”-16” of the inlet and outlet. UV light can weaken PEX and CPVC pipe.

Seams like a bad idea to bypass the uv system when you change the bulb. This would let water that has not been disinfected to fill your hot water tank and the rest of your homes plumbing?

Where is your pre filter and they don't recommend pex at lease 12" from the uv system. Also by-passes are not recommended.

I thought uv light deteriorates pex rapidly, and instructions state not to install pex in direct sunlight because of this. Isn't the UV light being emitted from the bulb equivalent to sunlight? Also don't the shark bites have a plastic collar inside them that will also deteriorate from the UV light? Not trying to take anything away from your install video just want to make sure before I go ahead and use this setup.

So I assume the light works all the time. How hot does the water get, like say overnight when there is no flow?

If the bulb is always on it should be treating water ... gotta be a way to send water back thru a second or third time if the system is sitting idle at night or when not in use (ie everyone asleep or not home)

There is a error to use galvanize union because they are going to rust, coper union are the normal one to use

How effective is the UV light, as far as flow rate? Also what kind of pressure can this unit handle, especially being installed on a well water supply. And is 3/4" line in/out ok?
