This is one of your top 10 videos of all time! As an autumn lover I loved this. Your joy and enthusiasm for what you were experiencing in the moment is palpable. I had a visceral reaction when you stopped and filmed that beautiful multi-colored tree🍂🍁🍃 🎭 You painted a vivid, beautifully terrifying picture of the nightime ascending roads in the middle of nowhere that was accentuated by the lightning storms and the darkness in the van 😱🌩🌩🌩🏔🏔🏔. I heard a Mendelssohn piano song for a few seconds!! 😃

Welcome back Mary Jane!... this long delay would have normally have worried me too, but I did see your response to one or two comments, and a recent Instagram post too.
I wasn't that surprised, when you said that you'd been sick, but just hoped that it was something pretty routine and seasonal, rather than the dreaded pandemic! (how did you confirm the diagnosis?).
Anyway, I loved the video, and your grooving to the tunes, was just so infectious!, though I didn't pick the music as being Colombian! (it's funny how I couldn't place it in context though, as I was thinking of something from one of the central, or western African countries perhaps?).
It occurred to me, while I was watching the classical music section, that you were being nostalgic for the atmosphere and culture of Europe.
I can totally relate to wanting to get into that head-space, and just create the illusion that you could be somewhere else, and experiencing something both familiar, but at the same time unknown, and full of surprises.
I really do relate to how you approached your journey though, and just followed how the land, and the elements, made you feel... I often do this myself, and have had many memorable journeys because of it.
Apart from the stoppage for the gorgeous lake scenery, the autumn colours made the close up of the tree
seem pretty surreal and special, especially with the way that you used that particular music effect, to create a very unique mood.
Had to laugh about you sleeping in the car though, as this bought back memories of one particular crazy night I had myself, where there was just no possible option, except sleeping in a very remote, dark and extremely wet place, and trying to get some sleep in the car! (woke up to experience an incredible day, in an unfamiliar, and incredible landscape... so it was worth it!).

Getting out of NYC is the best decision you could have made right now. The Autumn colors in New England should be spectacular right now! I don’t think there is anywhere else in the world quite like it.

We have lovely autumn colours in England right now but we never seem to get those deep reds that New England gets. Hope you don't wake up too sore from sleeping in the car!
