Recipe Information;
Yields 12, 500g liquid Soap Paste Bags
Base Recipe 3000g oil batch, Percentages based on oil amount
Pot Phase;
100% Australian Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Windi Willow)
30% Vegetable Glycerine
5% Sodium Lactate (Heirloom Body Care)
1% Organic Raw Sugar Syrup

Water Phase;
1% Sodium Gluconate (Heirloom Body Care) added after trace
2:1 Water to Lye Ratio – Distilled Water Moore’s Ultra-Pure Water (Woolworths)
90% Purity Potassium Hydroxide (Sydney Solvents)
0% Superfat with 3% Citric Acid (extra lye required refer to LyeCalc for specific values). I dissolve citric acid and add it at trace as well as sodium gluconate. It is better for the reactions of lye and citric acid to happen in the crock pot to reduce splatter. It is important to add citric acid solution first, then the sodium gluconate solution

I was wondering how you were going to do this when you showed the packaging at the beginning. This was different. Great job.

Lots of helpful info as usual, George. Thanks. I wonder if you could put the paste in a cake decorating bag and fill the pouches that way. Or that might be even more difficult... 🤔

I was wondering what types of bags you use. Would love to make this and send to my sister as she doesn’t use bar soap. TIA

Hi. What does one use soap paste for? I've not heard of soap paste before.

Hello, I also make it with 100% olive oil, diluted 2.5:1, the mixture is very thick but has less foam compared to liquid soaps with coconut oil. So is this lack of foam due to poor quality ingredients or is there another reason? I thought it would have a smooth foam, but when I used it, I had to use a bath sponge to get the foam! Sincerely thank you!
