I go there all of the time. its much more enjoyable on a weekday during the warmer months. i recommend entering thru the door opposite the bus stop, take your time when inside, find good spot and just sit for a while. A lot of whats on display is within arms reach, but please DONT TOUCH ANYTHING even the small doors that contain a fire hose inside. they too are 500 years old

The Sunday is very easy to take from Manhattan Better to get off at the stop where you walk from entry into Fort Tryon The exit on their website directions I THINK is a steep climb for people with physical challenges

I used to live across the street from the park. Went to the Cloisters all the time. Went there on several school trips. Took my kids there. Beautiful building. It's a lovely place in the summer.

It's not a castle. It is a replica monastery! WITH 4 CLOISTERS. Hence the Cloisters Museum

Gosh-awful background music. And it's a monastery, not a castle.
