'Politics of Hate': Writer Jean Guerrero on Anti-Immigrant Lies and Fearmongering at RNC

On Tuesday night, several of Donald Trump's former rivals endorsed the Trump ticket, including former Ambassador Nikki Haley, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Vivek Ramaswamy. Much of the evening focused on the Republican Party's hard-line border and immigration policies. The 2024 Republican platform backs Trump's pledge to carry out the "largest deportation operation in American history" and to stop what it calls a "migrant crime epidemic." We speak with journalist Jean Guerrero, who says what was shown at the RNC was the "politics of hate" and that the Republican Party is not letting up on its "anti-immigrant hatemongering."

you know what's funny is the democrat party used to be the party that wanted higher wages for American working class citizens rather than letting companies import cheap labor from abroad and the Republican party was the one who supported illegal immigration so companies could have a steady flow of cheap laborers (ie. the coke brothers), Now the Republicans have become the party of working class Americans (even the head of teamsters union spoke at the RNC) and the democrats have become the corporate party that all the corporate lobbyists support for cheap labor and mass immigration, it's very simple economics, less immigration & unskilled labor= more demand for American workers to fill those positions=higher wages for the working class, mass immigration=less demand for American workers=lower wages for the working class...
