I love all your recipes sister Flo, I thank you for showing me how to make a very easy reasonable price recipe that I could make on every Tuesday morning. I usually cooked for 10-14 volunteers people’s who helped with the Prison Ministry. They were the people who’s on the Praise and Worship team, the office team and the kitchen staff who worked preparing the food for our Tuesday night Church service and most of the attendees are ex convicts who surrendered their lives to Jesus. We have like 50-80 people and some are non- convicts. Thank you for all your recipes. God Bless.

The name “oyakodon” literally translates to “parent-and-child donburi”! This meal, and katsudonburi, were two of my favorites from the small donburi shop across the street from me when I was a short-term Baptist missionary in Japan (1978-1979). Such great memories of a lovely country and precious people. ❤

Australia here. Long time subscriber and have cooked many of your dishes. The last few years I have been experimenting with different Asian cuisines. Absolutely loved Korea. Cambodia, OMG! I have just started with Japanese and am really loving it. I think this is something I'm going to really enjoy. I just wish I could share it with my food hating husband! (he's a steak, eggs and fries man, occasionally with some Brussels sprouts and pumpkin).

Also a favorite of mine. A high quality dashi powder makes a big difference. Less salt, more fish, better flavor. A great dish to teach kids to have in their repertoire. Can do it in the microwave!
