The singer … my god what voice.

He hardly has to access his falsetto voice … I can only detect about two notes toward the end. That’s crazy control.

Not every singer would take the song to the top of their range like this. The contrast with the other vocals in the bass range is sublime.

I've seen the Honeydrops a few times now, starting a few years back at Doheny Blues Festival, where they absolutely stole the show and caused more than a few people, including myself, to leave the main stage where Keb'Mo was playing and gravitate towards the Back Porch thinking "WTF is that I'm hearing?!" I've dug 'em ever since.

7-8 years later and I'm watching these covers, and really starting to think Lech is one of the great singers I've ever heard. Such an easiness and control with some of highest registers.. It's really worth acknowledging that this dude can hang with the greatest ever, I'm talking legends like Aretha and Otis.

Well thanks for reading if you've made it this far. Can't wait til the world opens back up so we can go and see the Honeydrops again! ✌
