I'm glad to hear that the churches want to pay taxes finally.

Oklahoma is 48th in education, with one of the smallest state budgets in the country and they want to waste what little money they collect on defending this illegal law??? I just don't get it.

Why do they have the right to pick what religion to teach our children?!!

What about the kids that aren’t Christian?

If they do this, the schools shouldn't receive funding from federal tax dollars.

I don't want my children learning about incest, mass murder, fratricide, or killing of children.

You can't tell prople how to worship. The first ammendment says no establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...

"Strict and immediate compliance is expected." That sentence says everything you need to know about why they're doing this. Control. How very Christian of y'all.

How about they display the Constitution in every classroom and start teaching that, starting with the 1st amendment.

The OK superintendent has just demonstrated that he is mentally unfit for his position. He should be dismissed immediately.

I can see lawsuits all over the usa if every school in America has to start showing the Ten Commandments in the classrooms and also teaching the Bible I think the schools shouldn’t be allowed to teach the bible to the students I think the parents should make that decision for their children and also the churches job too not the schools job

I don’t mind my child reading the Bible; I care about others pushing their interpretations.

FYI not everyone in Oklahoma approves EITHER, I'm a lifetime Okie and also a republican, this is a stupid action to take and if I'm ever a teacher I'll never enforce it.

I am disgusted by how few people seem to value the first amendment…
You cannot call yourself a patriot in one breath and try to tear down some of our most cherished liberties, those of freedom of religion and separation of church and state, with the next!

What a disgusting law, absolute madness. These folks are utterly insane. RELIGION, ANY RELIGION, HAS ZERO PLACE IN SCHOOL, WORK OR GOVERNMENT.

Those poor kids who will suffer for this.

Where in the Bible does it mention the USA or its history? I dont think that superintendent has ever even read the Bible.

How is the Bible apart of the history of our country...IF THE WHOLE THING TAKES PLACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST!?
